CAPS was founded in 1926 by a group of Chinese physiologists who were affiliated with Peking Union Medical School. Robert K.S. Lim was the first and second president of CAPS. CAPS is a nationwide academic organization that is part of the Chinese Association for Science and Technology. The vision of CAPS is to support the growth of physiological sciences in China, both in academia and in the community. CAPS brings together scientists to advance science and technology. The mission of CAPS is to help talented researchers in the field of physiology, to become a leader in innovative and useful research around the world, and to advance knowledge through international exchange.
